Stewart Construction, one of Ireland’s leading main contractors with over 120 years of experience, is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team in Galway.

This role offers the opportunity to work within an established site team on large-scale construction projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are completed in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and to specification
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour on site
Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained in line with company policies and statutory regulations
Maintain high quality control standards through regular site inspections
Liaise with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers and design team to coordinate works and resolve issues
Manage site logistics, materials and plant requirements, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use of resources
Maintain daily site records and progress reports, ensuring key information is communicated to management
Assist in identifying, managing and reporting variations and changes in conjunction with the commercial team
Lead site meetings, daily briefings and toolbox talks where required
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role with a Main Contractor
Experience delivering medium to large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Third level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or a trade background with relevant experience
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations and health & safety legislation
Excellent organisation, leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
