We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of key projects. This is a senior, high-responsibility role that offers the opportunity to lead talented project teams, work closely with clients and consultants, and play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and promote company values while ensuring projects are delivered in the best interests of the business.

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned projects, providing leadership and direction to site teams and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with the company’s Integrated Management System and quality, environmental and health & safety standards.

  • Lead the planning and mobilisation of projects including the development of a Project Execution Plan covering health and safety, design coordination, procurement, logistics, programming, temporary works, quality management and project handover.

  • Work closely with senior management to plan project resources including site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials, ensuring projects are adequately resourced throughout the construction phase.

  • Oversee the management and coordination of subcontractors including pre-contract meetings, progress meetings and performance monitoring, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

  • Manage the overall construction programme, monitor project progress and ensure milestone targets are achieved, implementing short-term programmes and site coordination plans where required.

  • Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, design teams, local authorities and utility providers to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor the financial and commercial performance of projects in collaboration with the commercial team, ensuring costs are controlled and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

  • Chair regular project and site meetings, prepare progress reports for senior management and ensure all contractual documentation and correspondence is maintained in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to site teams, helping to drive performance, maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure a strong safety culture on site.

  • Oversee project completion, snagging and handover processes and manage the defects liability period to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

  • Work collaboratively with all departments within the company and contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring projects achieve company KPIs and objectives.


Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in the construction industry with at least 3–5 years in a senior project management or Contracts Manager role.

  • Proven track record delivering commercial construction projects such as pharmaceutical facilities, schools, healthcare buildings, hotels, retail developments or similar large-scale projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction practices, building regulations and industry standards.

  • Excellent leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and site teams simultaneously.

  • Experience in construction programming and scheduling using tools such as MS Project, Primavera or similar software.

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to monitor project budgets and financial performance alongside the commercial team.

  • Experience working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and statutory authorities.

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice within the construction industry.

  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations as required.

  • Valid Safepass and Manual Handling
